After ten minutes, all nine people, including Rowan, were hauled up to the plateau, except for the two who had fallen. They all collapsed on the flat surface, panting heavily.
"Can we get in touch with the two who fell?" Henry asked, seeing Zane's distressed face.
"No response on the phone or radio. It's hard to say right now. They could be unconscious, or worse..."
Henry peered down, but the dense fog obscured his view. From such a height, falling onto the rocky terrain below, the odds were grim.
"Once we're back, we'll take care of their families. The company will support them," Henry said with a sigh of resignation.
"Understood, Henry," Zane nodded solemnly.
"How are you holding up?" Henry asked Rowan, showing concern.
"I... I can keep going..." Rowan lifted her head weakly, responding with little strength.
"You've done well, but this is far enough. We can't climb any higher," Henry advised.
