Chapter 67 Bullying Her
Evelyn mulled over the situation all the way there but couldn't make sense of it. It was such a small matter, so why would he lie about it?
"Why did you ask yesterday if anyone came by?" Damian asked, his gaze fixed on the window as he casually tapped the frame.
Although Evelyn had only been learning to drive for three days, they had quietly agreed that she would be the one to drive to and from work each day.
She bit her lip, glanced at him, and then mumbled, "Last night, I heard someone near the rockery calling out to Mr. Blackwell. But you were already back in your room by then. You weren't in the garden."
It seemed unlikely to be Jaden too. Did that mean someone from the west wing had paid a visit the previous night?
Damian furrowed his brows together. "Mr. Blackwell? Before we returned last evening, my elder cousin from the west wing came to visit Grandpa. I'm not sure when he left."
Since he was Damian's cousin, his surname would naturally be Blackwell as well.
