Chapter 90: Katie and Rita

Jennifer woke up feeling fabulous, refreshed from a good night's sleep. She had to be at work on time today, as instructed by Henry, and she was determined to make a good impression. She had just started getting ready when her phone rang, shrill and insistent. She groaned, seeing Clement's name on the caller ID. This man sure didn't know when to call; why was he calling so early in the morning? Couldn't he see she was busy? "Miss Jennifer," His voice boomed from the other line, loud and cheerful. "Yes," Jennifer replied, her tone neutral, not even bothering to greet him. She was still waking up, and his enthusiasm was a bit much for this time of day. "I called to give you a date for your appearance at the bureau," Clement continued, his voice dripping with importance. "Yeah, go on," Jennifer said, her tone a bit more sarcastic now. She wasn't thrilled about this phone call, and she wanted to get to work already. "You are supposed to appear on the 24th," he said his voic
