"What's your view on love?" Henry asked Jennifer, beckoning the waiter to bring him some wine, his eyes fixed on her as if searching for a genuine response.
Jennifer's eyebrows rose in surprise. "Are you talking to me?" she asked, her voice tinged with skepticism, as if wondering if she was the intended target of his question.
Henry looked at her, his expression unwavering. "Who else?" he asked, his tone matter-of-fact.
"Are we not the only two people here?" He gestured to the empty chairs and tables surrounding them, emphasizing their isolation.
Jennifer's gaze dropped, her eyes fixing on her hands as she fidgeted with her phone. "Oh, sorry, boss," she said, her voice barely above a whisper.
"I don't think love should matter to people like you." Henry's curiosity was piqued.
