Her bride’s maids and friends—everyone who had come from far and near to witness her wedding—had absconded from her place, leaving just her, her kids, Elizabeth, and her father.
She couldn’t help it; the tears did justice to her face, trailing down her cheeks, drying up at intervals, and leaving tracks of their movement on her face.
Elizabeth, on the other side, was quiet. She was no longer taking pictures and smiling. She was so dumbfounded by the whole drama, but she still feels positive.
Maybe the killing didn’t happen because of Mark and Allison. It might have happened for some other reason, and if she was to suggest what should happen, she would suggest they find another priest and carry on with the wedding.
