The rest of Sunday seemingly dragged on, Sarah’s mom and Sarah didn’t talk much the rest of the afternoon, they more or less pretended that no confessions were made, to begin with. When Sarah rushed into her room, slamming the door behind her, all of a sudden she knew why she had left.
She loved her parents to bits, they were simply amazing. But she felt like they didn’t understand her, heck she didn't even understand herself at times, nor did she think they would ever be able to understand her. That was fine though, not all things were meant to be understood, perhaps Sarah was supposed to be one of those who are loved regardless of it.
Her father and siblings returned home right around the sunset and she was ready to go with her bag packed. She hoped to slip out without having to face any further mention of Eric, but luck always seemed to run out. She was taking one last look around her room to make sure that she wasn’t forgetting anything when her mom entered the room, softly
