10 Half Truths
“What happened? Did the detective not get back to you or something?” Sarah questioned sipping on her mimosa. “No, he called me but what he said was so infuriating. He says that they got the number plate and everything but they aren’t sure of who was actually driving and they can’t disclose whose bike it is and that they are ‘investigating the matter’ as it is very sensitive.” Hannah huffed as she slumped in her seat.
“I mean babe, they are not obliged to reveal the identity to you, but it does seem a little odd for them to not make arrests even though they have the plates because with the plates they must know who it is registered to. It just seems a little shady, it is a very clear hit-and-run case, with footage and eyewitnesses, plus he was speeding. I don’t know what is so ‘sensitive’ about this.” Sarah responded, eyeing Hannah intensely.
“Exactly, I am just getting very shady vibes you know?” Hannah said, sipping her mimosa while squinting her eyes. “How very Magnum P.I of you.”
