Anne smiled when she saw the empty seat. It was evident that her mood had improved significantly.
She thought Helen was still trapped on the mountaintop.
She planned to release Helen after the Encerian Week speech competition. By then, the outcome would be sealed in stone. No matter how talented Helen was, it wouldn't change anything.
However, Anne had failed to notice that one more person was missing from class.

Ava was caught off guard as soon as she left her house. She never expected to encounter Helen, the person she didn't want to meet the most right now.
Helen's voice was seemingly calm, but it made Ava shiver with fear. For a while, Ava was so shocked that she couldn't speak.
Helen looked at her with a gloomily. "Why? Is it that surprising?"
Ava nodded, then shook her head. Then, she kneeled on the ground before Helen.
"I'm sorry. I was wrong. I shouldn't have believed Anne's words and done those things to you..."
