Chapter 76
When Helen regained consciousness, everything around her was pitch-black.
She slowly sat up and realized that her hands were tied up in front of her.
"Is anyone there?" She hoarsely called out, but there was no response except for the echo of her own voice.
Helen had a rough idea of her current predicament.
She struggled forcefully, even to the point of causing her wrists to bleed, and somehow managed to free herself from the ropes.
She started to adapt to the darkness. She glanced around and discovered that she was in an extremely run-down wooden hut. She got up and opened the door.
The night's cold wind howled, stinging her cheeks. She could hear the cries of some wild animals in the distance. Helen's heart sank.
"The person behind this better not let me find them or I'll make them regret it."
She then saw two tall men approaching. She hurriedly closed the door and pretended to still be tied up.
"It's really miserable having to stay on this mountain for two or three days.
