Helen assisted Chandler to his room and guided him to the bed. "You should rest," she said before turning to leave.
But Chandler stopped her and said, "I'm thirsty."
Without hesitation, Helen got him a glass of water. "Here you go."
Chandler took the glass, finding the temperature just right. "Thank you," he said.
Helen smiled. "No problem. Rest well, I'll be leaving now."
This time, Chandler didn't object to it. He watched her leave the room. His expression returned to normal only after the door closed. Holding the glass, he couldn't help but recall the moments he had with Helen.
She had stood by him through tough times, organized files in his office, and defended him publicly. These memories were etched in his mind.
