"What do you mean? Didn't Taylor take care of everything well during the past seven years when Helen wasn't around?" Jenson didn't think about it in a sentimental way.
"The situation is different now," Germaine said.
"How is it different?"
"It's hard to explain it to you. Carry him upstairs. Don't let him sleep here; he'll catch a cold."
"Okay." Although Jenson wasn't emotionally intelligent, he was still quite perceptive. He knew very well that Germaine had her own reasons for not pointing it out, so he didn't ask further.
He happily followed her instructions, knowing that she would let him know about it when the time was right.
