Chapter 1903
The housekeepers at the Fitzgerald residence were clearly too lax. As the new son-in-law, Aiden thought it was high time to assert some authority.
He entered the living room, only to find it completely empty—nothing like the vibrant atmosphere of a wedding reception.
"Where is everyone?" Aiden shouted, his voice echoing through the room. "Are the housekeepers really this incompetent?"
After a brief moment, footsteps echoed from upstairs.
Aiden looked up, his eyes widening in disbelief. Hugo stood on the staircase to his right, as if he had appeared out of thin air.
For a second, Aiden wondered if he was imagining things. It took him a few moments to process what he was seeing.
Was Hugo's ghost here for revenge?
Seeing the guilty expression on Aiden's face, Hugo felt a wave of disgust wash over him. He sneered and said, "Well, well, Aiden. You sure look like you're on top of the world. How's the chairman's seat? Is it comfortable enough for you?"
