"Hold it right there," Helen commanded, gesturing to two security guards who immediately stepped forward to block Ricardo's path.
Ricardo's demeanor shifted as frustration bubbled to the surface. "Ms. Terzian, what's going on? Is Newton Residence some sort of lawless zone where media personnel are denied basic freedoms?"
Helen maintained her composure, a faint smile playing at her lips. "Mr. Cook, there's no need for such wild accusations. The guest bathroom is just behind me in the guest wing, yet you just emerged from the backyard. Care to explain that?"
Ricardo hesitated before stumbling through an excuse. "It's my first time in a mansion this grand. Is it a crime to look around?"
"And how do you explain this?" Helen asked, holding up the ID badge he had used to gain entry.
She peeled away the fake top layer, revealing a different identity underneath. The name, age, and photo didn't match Ricardo at all. It was clear that he wasn't a reporter.
