After Taylor's friends and family had left, Helen sent everyone else away and settled into the hospital room.
"Here, have some water," she said, pouring a glass of warm water and handing it to him. She then pulled up a chair by the bed and sat down.
"Thanks, Ms. Kaylee," Taylor replied, taking the cup and sipping it carefully.
The airbag had injured his throat, making it difficult to swallow. He had to be cautious with his movements.
Helen nodded thoughtfully. After a moment, she reached into her bag and pulled out an envelope, handing it to him.
"What's this?" Taylor asked, blinking in surprise. A knowing smile soon lit up his face. "Ms. Kaylee, are you finally ready to marry Chandler?"
Helen chuckled and shook her head, lifting the invitation slightly. "It's Abigail's engagement invitation. Don't you want to take a look?"
