Chandler's words were clearly a threat.
Yet, Zac seemed unconcerned and retorted, "You care so much about her. Could it be that you've taken a liking to her?"
After saying this, Zac couldn't help but scoff, "But a woman as unattractive as her hardly seems your type!"
The scorn in Zac's eyes deepened. He stepped closer to Chandler and continued, "Don't think I don't know what you want. Or should I say, we have the same goals. Since that's the case, let's not criticize each other. May the best man win."
Chandler's lips curved in a cold smile. "You can't hide your true colors forever."
With a cold laugh, Zac said nothing more and turned to leave.
Chandler knew Zac was about to make a move. It seemed the coming days would be interesting.
After the elevator incident, Helen was not well. She developed a high fever that night and only woke up groggily the next afternoon. Opening her eyes, she saw Esmond looking at her worriedly. "Helen, you're finally awake."
Helen's mind was foggy.
