Helen was deeply touched, her eyes reddening as tears began to spill. She quickly wiped them away, trying to act as if nothing had happened.
But Chandler noticed. He gently took her hand, leaned in, and softly kissed each of her eyelids.
"When you cry, it feels like my entire world is falling apart," he remarked, looking at her with a comforting gaze. "Ms. Spencer, if you're feeling guilty and want to make it up to me, could you try to be a bit stronger?"
Helen sniffled and cast him a reproachful glance. She then wrapped her arms around his waist, holding him tightly.
