Helen arranged her tools on the bedside table. After meticulously disinfecting the hose and the knife, she cut the hose into two pieces—one long and one short. She inserted one end of the long hose into a half-full bottle of whiskey, pushing it to the bottom. The short hose was placed slightly into the bottle's opening, and she sealed the connection with adhesive tape.
