Mandy wandered around the mall, but Alex was nowhere to be found. "Where is he?" she muttered, standing off to the side with her hands on her hips, totally out of breath. Just then, Alex walked out of a jewelry store directly opposite her. She spotted him and almost called out, but she held back. Instead, she rushed after him. He was pacing fast. She finally caught up with him before the elevator. She grabbed his arm from behind, panting too hard to say anything. "Mands." Alex stopped in his tracks. He steadied her with both hands and led her to a nearby bench. Once Mandy caught her breath, she smiled and asked, "Alex, why were you walking so fast? You didn't even wait for me." Alex pursed his lips and replied, "I didn't know you were behind me." Thinking about how quickly he'd been walking, Mandy asked, "Were you looking for me?" Alex nodded.
