Chapter 628
Ivy's expression was tense, and she glanced toward the room while saying, "You should ask her."
Tiffany walked into the room and saw Jessie sitting on the couch holding Cynthia. Jessie's face was streaked with tears, her lips tightly pressed together, looking as if she had done something wrong.
At this point, Cynthia had stopped crying and was quietly lying in Jessie's arms.
As soon as Tiffany approached, Jessie fell to her knees with a loud thud, sobbing uncontrollably, "Tiff, I accidentally dropped Cindy!"
"What?" Tiffany was startled. She quickly took Cynthia into her arms with trembling hands.
Ivy added, "I'm not sure what happened, but Cindy was thrown quite a distance. Her head nearly hit the corner of the wall. Luckily, the blanket was thick enough to cushion the impact, otherwise..."
Just hearing this made Tiffany's heart race. A child was particularly vulnerable at such a young age, especially the head. If something like that happened, it could affect Cynthia for life.
