Mandy was momentarily stunned and shook her head. "That's not what I meant." Alex pinched her cheek gently. "I know what you meant." At that moment, Patricia appeared at the kitchen door. She was still in her pajamas, with a long coat thrown over them, and she had a suitcase behind her. She had witnessed the sweet interaction between Alex and Mandy. Patricia bit her lip and said, "Alex, I'm leaving. I'm sorry for causing you trouble. Ms. Stewart, please don't be angry with Alex. Even if I have to sleep on the streets, I won't bother you again."
