Chapter 596
Jemima flinched in fear. Isaac stood up as he held the urn tightly. His face was filled with anger, and his eyes were almost murderous. "Get out!"
He was a large man, and though he usually wore a polite smile that made him seem honest and good-natured, even the most mild-mannered person had their limits. And they could be more frightening than most people when their limits were tested.
His patience with Jemima was nearing its end. Jemima caught a glimpse of his hand, covered in ashes, clenched into a fist so tightly that his knuckles cracked.
Terrified, she shivered and stuttered, "Okay, okay, I'm leaving, I'm leaving."
With that, she hurried away as fast as she could. Isaac, with bloodshot eyes, watched her until she disappeared from view. It was only then that he lowered his head and slowly unclenched his tightly gripped fist.
Gently, he ran his hand over the lid of the urn. "Don't be afraid, Kels. I'm taking you home now. We're going home."
