Chapter 510
Tiffany froze. For some reason, a chill seemed to rise from the soles of her feet, shooting straight up to the top of her head.
She stared blankly at Vincent and struggled to find something to say. But just as she opened her mouth, Vincent turned away and refused to look at her.
It seemed like he was avoiding her, or perhaps it was a sign that his patience had run out, and he had nothing left to say. Tiffany choked, her mind going blank. She couldn't even remember what she had wanted to say.
Vincent put down the clothes he had been holding and said in a cold and distant voice. "Wash up and get some sleep. I have things to take care of, so I won't be joining you."
With that, he walked out of the room.
Tiffany soaked herself in warm water for a long time, yet the chill within her refused to dissipate. That night, Vincent stayed in his study the entire time. Meanwhile, Tiffany curled up in bed, clutching the blanket tightly, unable to close her eyes until dawn.
