When Zelda headed outside, Abraham was waiting by the door.
He glanced at her and said, "Ms. Wade, you can go anywhere you want in here, but you're not allowed outside. Our men are stationed outside the entrance, so you won't be able to get out."
"That's fine, but can I have another room?" She looked at Abraham.
"I'm sorry, Ms. Wade. That's already the best room we have here," he said.
"But I don't like a room without windows. It's stuffy without wind," she whined.
Abraham's expression remained unchanged. "I'm sorry for the inconvenience, Ms. Wade. It'll only last another week, so please bear with it."
"Are you worried that I'll escape if there are windows?" Zelda arched her eyebrows.
Abraham smiled and didn't respond, but his silence was clearly affirmative.
Zelda didn't dwell on the matter and started taking a walk around.
