Seeing the somber expression on Damian's face, Zelda softly suggested, "Maybe you should go back and rest for a while?"
"No rush," Damian replied, rubbing his temples before picking up another glass of water and finishing it.
Perhaps it was because of the lack of sleep, but a dull ache throbbed in his head.
The room fell silent for a moment. Zelda felt a bit awkward, but she couldn't just keep staring at him since they were alone in a room. Hence, she lowered her gaze to her lap instead.
After an indeterminate amount of time, Damian finally broke the silence. "Have you run into any problems here?"
"No." Zelda instinctively shook her head, then hesitated and added, "I've managed to handle everything I've encountered so far, so there's nothing really worth mentioning."
"Alright," Damian replied before lapsing into silence again.
Zelda stole a glance at him and noticed that, at some point, Damian had closed his eyes.
