59. Making up

Maria, the ever-watchful maid, entered the foyer with a discerning look, her eyes narrowing at the sight of Lia and Dennise in their inebriated state. "Senor Damon, what happened here?" Damon, with a nonchalant shrug, replied, "Just a little alcohol-fueled adventure. Maria, meet the dynamic duo – Lia, the mastermind, and Dennise, the accomplice." Maria, unimpressed, muttered in Spanish, "Mischief and alcohol, a dangerous combination." Damon, smirking, added, "Exactly. Now, can you please escort Dennise to the guest room? I'll handle our dear mastermind." Maria, shaking her head, gestured for Dennise to follow her. "Come, Senor Dennise, I will show you to a room where you can sleep off the festivities." As Maria guided Dennise away, Damon turned his attention to Lia, who was attempting a dramatic twirl that only showcased her slightly tipsy state. "Come on, drama queen, let's get you to bed." Lia, with a theatrical gasp, clutched her heart. "Oh, my hero. Saving me from the treache
