Chapter 09
Solen rebelled. This was her first rebellion since he met Genrev.
At this moment, she refused to have a relationship with Genrev, and hated Genrev for forcing a relationship with her regardless of her wishes.
The anger in Genrev's eyes was even stronger, so his hands propped beside Solen's face and he stared at her coldly.
"Genrev, I don't want to do it today."
Solen stared at Genrev's eyes and spoke slowly, one by one.
"Because of him?", Genrev's eyes darkened and said coldly.
Solen suddenly felt sad. Two years were neither long nor short. Now, it turns out that she couldn't bare Genrev anymore.
Solen’s silence irritated Genrev, so he gave a hand.
Extending his fist and punching it down, Solen turned his head and eyes tightly closed in fright.
Genrev's fist hit the sofa. Solen only felt light on her body. Genrev had already fallen from her body, when there was a sound of opening and closing of door. The door was slammed and the room finally became calm.
Solen opened her eyes slowly and her heart was "pounding" with fright. She was really afraid that Genrev would hit her face with a punch.
According to Genrev's surname, nothing is impossible.
Fortunately, it's okay.
Solen exhaled and sat up from the sofa.
The cell phone in her bag rang at this moment. Solen turned the phone out of her bag and answered it. It's Kai.
"Kai it's you! Is something wrong?"
"Solen, are you okay?", Kai's worried voice came from the other end of the phone.
"I'm fine." Solen smiled, "Your clothes are still with me. I have already sent them to the dry cleaners. I will return them to you in a few days."
"Does that mean you're going to invite me to dinner?"
"That's for sure, you helped me so much, and I must invite you to dinner."
"Okay, then I'll wait for your call.", Kai's voice was full of expectation.
"Yeah!", Solen hummed softly.
There was silence on the other side of the phone, then she heard Kai's voice again, "Solen, is he Genrev?"
Solen was silent for a while, and silently took the phone off her ears, pressed the end button as she quietly leaned on the sofa and closed her eyes.
The phone rang again, Solen sat still, let it ring, and finally calmed down after a while. The she received messages.
Solen rolled her eyes, reached out and took a look at the phone.
Kai.
Solen, I'm sorry, I didn't mean it.
Solen stared at the information blankly, not knowing how to answer Kai's question for a while.
Should she say it's, okay? Or does she have a last resort?
Nothing seems appropriate.
Kai's message came again.
Solen, are you angry? Sorry, I really didn't mean it.
Solen thought for a while, and replied, "I'm not angry."
Not long after the message was sent, the phone rang again. Solen sighed slightly and answered.
"Solen, you finally answered my call. I thought you would never answer me anymore."
As soon as the phone was connected, Kai's joyful voice came from the other end of the phone.
"How could I ignore you? I just don't know how to face you.", Solen said lowly.
"I know you have no choice. Solen, you must have not cooked lunch yet? I just passed by a restaurant that you loved to go to before. I bought a few of your favorites, and I'm downstairs right now. You tell me which floor and room you live in and I will take it to you."
"As in now?" Solen hesitated.
"Don't you have the heart to see a handsome guy standing in the sun with a lunch box in his hand?", Kai said miserably.
Solen couldn't help but smile, "Then you come up handsome guy." Solen said the address and jumped to open the door. A few minutes later, Kai's figure appeared with several lunch boxes in his hand.
"Come in and sit down." Solen sat on the sofa, "The room is a little small, so you can just go to the kitchen to find water if you are thirsty."
"Don't be so courteous." Kai put the lunch box on the coffee table and opened them one by one. "These are all your favorites. You can quickly taste if they suit your taste." Kai handed Solena pair of chopsticks.
The smile on Solen's face was a little faint, "I haven't eaten these things for a long time, and I have forgotten what these dishes are like."
Kai was startled and his face was full of guilt, "Solen, I'm sorry. I really didn't mean it."
"You don't need to apologize.", Solen smiled, "Thank you for remembering what I like to eat. I almost forgot." Solen took the chopsticks and tasted it one bite at a time, feeling sad for a while tears almost came out.
"I'm sorry about it." Solen couldn't eat anymore, and barely smiled at Kai.
"Is he treating you badly?", Kai was silent, before speaking for a while.
Solen pursed her lips and said nothing.
"Solen, leave him! You are still young. You still have a long way to go in the future. You can't...", Kai stopped when he said.
Why didn't Solen understand this truth?
It's just that, it's too late.
"Let's talk about it in two years!"
"Why is it two years later?", Kai's face was full of confusion, "He has a fiancée, and he is going to get married."
"I……"
There was the sound of the key opening the door, and Solen's face changed slightly, "Kai, go to the bedroom to hide. No, no, go to the kitchen. No, forget it, you should sit here!"
Genrev had opened the door and walked in, carrying the lunch box in his hand. Seeing Kai and the food on the coffee table, his eyes sank. He raised his leg to the middle of the living room, and threw the food in his hand on the coffee table.
Solenwas extremely embarrassed and coughed slightly, "Kai, let me tell you. This is Genrev, President of the Gu Group. This is a good friend of my childhood, Kai."
Kai stood up and stretched out his palm to Genrev, "Mr. Cruz, it's nice to meet you."
Genrev silently glanced at Kai without moving his hand.
Kai smiled, retracted his hand, and said to Solen, "Solen, I remember that I still have something to do in the hospital, so I won't disturb you. Take a good rest and don't hurt your foot anymore."
"Kai, thank you for today! I can't send you off. I will invite you to dinner in a few days." Solen said politely and watched Kai go out.
Genrev kept pursing his lips and said nothing, but his body exuding chills.
Solen explained, "Kai knew that my foot hurt and I can't cooki, so he sent me food. Don't get me wrong. He really has nothing to do with me."
"Since it's nothing, why do you still explain it to me?", Genrev said in a cold voice.
