Chapter 22 A Prison
When Cynthia woke up the next day, she found a blanket over her body and a pillow under her head. When she realized it, she found no one else at home.
There was a note on the coffee table: "Don't always wear high-heeled shoes and take good care of yourself. I have something to deal with so I have to leave."
Cynthia looked at the handwriting on the note. Every line of the letter was written with the power draw. She frowned slightly.
"He's always like this. He came and went at his will, but never thought about other people's feelings."
Cynthia then put the paper into her pocket, looking at the ice pack on the coffee table that had already turned into warm water. She just walked into the bathroom while shaking her head.
Today was the first day of Cynthia's work after returning to Australia. As soon as she entered the company, Cynthia saw the familiar figure, who was talking with several shareholders of the company.
