She looked innocent and said, "Could it be that those elite women didn't invite you because they felt your status was so noble that they were too embarrassed to ask?" Karma is real. Just wait, you'll die starving in some alley!" Lila looked at her, surprised by how quickly they had gotten the information. Her gaze became slightly appraising, and her look carried a certain implication that made Darcy and Margaret uneasy.
