Skye squatted and began to help me pick up the scattered things. It was the most humiliating moment, and she happened to see it. My face flushed with embarrassment, and I wished I could find a hole to hide in. I could endure Lilith's mockery, but the thought of Skye witnessing my humiliation was unbearable.
