I laughed. Grandpa tried to put on the airs of an elder. Hadn't he ever asked himself if he was worthy? He was a hypocrite, yet he acted so high and mighty. It was disgusting!
I glanced at him and just stood there, not moving an inch. Seeing that I wasn't moving, his expression darkened. He glared at me.
"I told you to get down on your knees. Didn't you hear me?"
Aunt Margaret pointed at me angrily as well. "Get down on your knees already!"
I looked at them calmly and sneered. "What right do you have to make me do that?"
My words made their expressions change. They stared at me in disbelief.
Uncle Ethan's face darkened. He pointed at me coldly and scolded, "How does your grandpa not have the right?"
Aunt Margaret, too, cursed me angrily, "Your grandpa is the elder of the family, and you are his grandson. What's wrong with him asking you to get down on your knees? Doesn't he deserve it?"
I chuckled and nodded. "No, he doesn't deserve it."
