Lucy noticed that the surrounding walls had been built. There were even security cameras installed all around and a drone circling up above. With the walls in place to ensure everyone's safety, they wouldn't have to live in constant fear anymore.
"These are all the things you sent over," Hans said.
"I see."
Along the way, they passed a group of children who were playing together. The oldest was six while the youngest was three.
"Why do they all have so little hair?" Lucy asked with a frown, noticing that some of the kids were basically bald.
"They have been malnourished for a long time, having to resort to eating tree bark, leaves, and even dirt. Some of what they ate was even poisonous."
These kids had a fairly strong immune system, for the ones without one had passed away a long time ago.
Lucy glanced at Hans who had a fairly thick head of hair. She began to imagine what he would look like bald.
"I'll give them some cheese sticks too."
