When Lucy got back, she saw two neatly wrapped baskets of fruit. It had to have been a gift, for they wouldn't buy packaged fruit like that for themselves.
"Lucy, do you remember your Aunt Sheila? She came to see me this morning. I'm not sure how she found out you have a supermarket in town, but she said she wants to let your cousin work there," Sharon said.
"Which cousin?"
Everyone in the village was more or less related somehow.
"Fiona Sandywell. She got married a few years back, and she's currently staying near your supermarket," Sharon replied, her brows furrowed. "Perhaps your father accidentally spilled the beans while harvesting."
