Chapter 35
Upon hearing Lucy ordering ten barrels of fresh milk, the woman's face immediately lit up with a big smile, and her tone softened. "If you buy ten barrels, I'll give you ten extra pounds of milk. The total comes to 10,000 dollars."
Each barrel contained 500 pounds and was priced at 2 dollars per pound, making one barrel 1,000 dollars. Regular packaged milk was only 8.8 ounces, about half a pound, and much more expensive. It also contained preservatives.
This was pure fresh milk, but it had a downside—unless stored in her pocket space, it would only last for about a week outside.
They added each other on Venmo, and Lucy immediately transferred the 10,000 dollars. She then carried the extra 10 pounds of milk back home.
Once home, she updated both books with 50 thousand words each. Afterward, she browsed the comments under her books.
"Spicy Penman, you're amazing! I love seeing these extra updates. No need to wait for the next chapter every day!"
"The updates are so fast! I love it!
