I retrieved a pair of diamond cufflinks from the safe in the study. I wrapped them up properly and then left home. As Wynnie's husband, I had full knowledge of what items at home could or couldn't be given as gifts. These things were meant to be gifts anyway. But, for whatever reason, it didn't feel good knowing that this pair of cufflinks were meant to be given to Louis. My car stopped at the entrance to Twilight Oasis, but I didn't get out of the car immediately. Twilight Oasis was the most famous clubhouse in Buetiva. It was one of the businesses under Jakeman Group. It was a place where Wynnie and her group of friends would gather ever since they were kids. She had never given up this place to anyone else, even when she was going through her most trying time back then. The atmosphere at Twilight Oasis was really good. It wasn't a place filled with foul smells, and no one would dare to cause a ruckus here after getting drunk either. For some reason, I disliked this pla
