Chapter 31

I quietly watched as Wynnie dashed out of the ward hurriedly. All I felt was confusion. Wynnie being present wasn't the weird part. After all, I was on the phone with her before my collapse. It was her nervous demeanor that was puzzling. Was she trying to tell me that I was important to her? Soon, the doctor performed a basic check-up on me. He told me that the reason I collapsed was because I didn't rest well over the past few days. My body was weakened because of my illness as well. Then, the doctor shot Wynnie a look before reminding her to keep an eye on me. She had to make sure that I'd take my medicine on time and get enough rest every night. All in all, I mustn't continue overloading my body with more stress and fatigue. Wynnie nodded in response. After that, she walked the doctor out of the ward. I just gazed out the window while spacing out. Only then did I realize that I didn't get to see the world properly. The last time I had gone out on a stroll was because of Eve.
