I assured Ryan that I would no longer waste my time with Wynnie. Only then did he feel relieved. Barbara was pleased to see me when I returned to the villa. “Mr. York, I heard you won the award. Congratulations!" I had put a lot of effort into this family. Fortunately, there was still someone who valued me. "Thank you." Barbara observed me and showed her concerns. "You appear to have lost weight again. Would you like some soup? I can make it for you." I shook my head and told her I'd be out later. I didn't distrust Barbara, but Wynnie was her employer. If she knew I was leaving, Wynnie would know right away. Barbara nodded. I then informed her that Wynnie would be back early in the evening, so I'd make dinner and let her get off work first.
