Chapter 2

the unexpected kiss that happened between Tiffany and howard, they were both shocked at what just happened, howard regains his composure first telling Tiffany that it was an accident and asking her not to tell anyone about it. He decide to leave but she didn't let him go that easily. He wonders if maybe she wants an autograph, and gives her one, but she's not interested, stopping him again. He assumes she wants a picture and automatically denies the request, but that's not the reason why she's stopping him either. the reason she stops him is because that was her first kiss. It's only after she lashes out at him that she recognizes him. She explains that someone took her bag and blackmails him into finding her bag claiming that she won't tell anyone about their encounter if he helps her. Howard doesn't readily agree so Tiffany takes to pouting and making sad noises that progressively get louder. Worried that someone will hear, Howard agrees to help her. It's only then that she stops and acts completely fine telling him that he can't go back on his word. Howard got upset, thinking that she lied about the entire thing, but Tiffany shows him the bag and its contents that she accidentally swapped. When she shows the phone, he recognizes that it jeff's When the phone rings, he thinks about giving his father some big gift at his wedding and swiftly answers. After the call he tells Tiffany that the guy on the phone was furious so he doesn't think she should go. Tiffany suggests that he go then, since he's a big star and all, and of course everyone listens to celebrities. Howard agrees, but not without a smug look on his face, which means something is clearly going on. The two head to a hotel where they meet the guy. Tiffany knocked into earlier in a suit. Howard cuts him off before he can say anything telling the guy not to act too rationally, but seemingly giving him signals every so often. Tiffany jumps in trying to scare the guy off by mentioning Howard's fans since he's an idol star, giving howard signals. The two easily switch bags and he leaves to go back in without another word. Once he leaves, Tiffany didn't get her bag back from Howard that easily. He says that since the bag was so difficult to get, he can't give it back easily. That means that Tiffany has to do as he says in order to get it back. Howard leads her through a hallway where they pass another guy who stares Howard down but didn't say anything. They eventually enter the classy wedding venue and a girl notices him together with Tiffany. Howard only has eyes on his dad, though, who notices his arrival. When the girl approaches him, whose name is bernice, she ask him who the ugly girl is, he tells her to just take her seat since she'll find out soon enough. Taking Tiffany by the hand, howard leads her to a seat telling her to eat all she wants, but the entire time, his eyes are on his father. His father approaches him commenting on him supposedly not coming, but howard cuts him off right to the chase and asks if he doesn't feel sorry for his mother. His father tries to say that remarrying doesn't mean he doesn't love her but howard is still angry and his words only make him angrier. The woman his father is marrying comes to join the conversation and she clearly looks half of his age. When howard tells the two that he had to come since it's his father's big day and that he has a big gift, his father warns him not to mess things up. Howard says that he's just here to give his blessings and they continue to have their stare down. The ceremony begins with the MC wanting the bride and groom to say some words, but howard grabs Tiffany by the hand and brings her to the stage, stealing the mic. He quetly asks for Tiffany's name while on stage before he announces that they've come to his engagement party with Tiffany and kisses her right on stage in front of everyone. The guests begin to take pictures, while bernice looks like she's about to faint. Tiffany manages to push howard off of her asking him if he's angry and in an attempt to salvage the situation, he slips her his credit card that has unlimited credit. That turns her attitude around as she decides to go along with it, taking the mic from him and introducing herself. The MC barely manages to move the party along, to a dance time, while howard and his father face off again. Howard tells him that they're unrelated and that if he wasn't his dad, he wouldn't have come. His dad turns to Tiffany, telling her it's not too late to change her mind, but hiward tells his dad not to be mean to his future daughter-in-law. Not wanting things to get too out of hand, they go off to the side to talk. Tiffany heads over to the buffet and was about to eat dessert when bernice pours a glass of water on her head. She calls Tiffany a crazy fan but Tiffany doesn't let that bother her, revealing that she's not a fan and yells at bernice to mind her own business. Bernice just changes her tactic to say that she's together with howard for his money, wanting to buy Tiffany off of him instead, throwing a check to the ground. Tiffany bends down to pick up the check but only to tie Bernice dress to the tablecloth. Bernice calls Tiffany a lowlife for picking up the check and demands she disappear from howards side. But Tiffany is still strong as she grabs the mic to say she'd like to thank bernice for her monetary gift for her engagement to howard and proceeds to return the check back as a thank you, but throwing it in the same fashion. Bernice goes to make a grab at her, though, but with her dress attached to the table, sends the entire thing crashing down. After that moment, Tiffany runs out of the place while the guy from earlier helps Bernice up. Howard's father agrees to strike a deal with him saying that he'll cancel his wedding as long as howard cancels his engagement and that's exactly what he wanted to hear as he accepts without a second thought. Tiffany manages to make her way into a dressing room to hide herself. She yells at herself in the mirror for following along when they told and wondering what she should do now. That's when she gets an idea from the makeup and clothes around her and ends up transforming back into her original self. However, she struggles to zipper up her dress and it's at that moment that Jeff enters. He's immediately smitten by her and apologizes for intruding while she's changing. Of course Tiffany knows who he is but jeff doesn't think that they've met before. She finds out that howard and jeff are actually good friends through him and before he leaves, she told him to help her zip up the dress. Tiffany wants to leave but knows that she'll be found out if he sees her bag, so she tries to send him away. Jeff wonders if he's ever offended her before and Tiffany tells him he hasn't but hopes that he'll erase her from his memory. He ends up taking his leave telling her he hopes they see each other again and Tiffany hightails it out of there. She spies howard getting into a car in front of the hotel and heads the other way. Howard arrives home later that night and is stopped by his father. He wonders if what happened today made him happy but howard only states that he was trying to protect their name. His father claims that what he did shamed the family anyway since all of the guests were high ranking people. His father then begins to belittle his career telling him that he achieved what he did because of his family name. Howard tells him he'd rather have none of it at all and leaves. He heads over to see jeff, who isn't surprised at his appearance there knowing that he wouldn't have stayed home. They play some games, all of which howard is bad and loses at, before deciding to take their conversation outside. Jeff tells howard that he's too hung up on the past, about everything, and howard says that he can't do anything he wants and he's unsure of what he should hang on if it's not for the past. Jeff tries to say that something will happen that will change his world forever and mentions the girl he saw in the dressing room but howard is only held up on that he was looking at girls in the dressing room. Jeff tries to move the conversation along telling howard to just keep looking forward since things will get better. It's a new day, though, and Tiffany, in her original look, heads to Art university Bournemouth. However, already anticipating her arrival, her grandfather's men are already there at the entrance. She has to think fast since it's the last day to register and with no other choice, she transforms herself back into her look from the previous night and walks straight through the men without them knowing. Howard's father doesn't approve of him being an idol as he told his son that the only reason why he's successful is because of his family name and nothing more, he's hung up on the past. Perhaps his parents were seperated by certain issues they couldn't resolve between themselves, and his father wants to marry again after separating from his mother. Howard was going to do anything in order for his father to cancel that wedding. Tiffany was still angry at howard for stealing her first kiss and then basically dragging her and causing her trouble while he basically has no more use of her after using her to get his father to cancel his wedding. Howard did announce her as his fiancée, and even though he may have told his father that he would call it off, that doesn't mean that he made another announcement to everyone that was in the room. People still believe that they're together, so it may just cause a whole bunch of problems, since howard is an idol and, like according to Tiffany, idols have crazy fans.
