Carla opened her eyes to sunlight streaming in from the window. She winced and squinted her eyes a little, as it had reacted to the sudden brightness. She felt strange, oddly satisfied, why? What happened to her? She looked disoriented for a moment, thinking about the changes that had occured in her life lately until memories started rushing back to her.
