Finlay let out a soft whimper and finally loosened his tail around Analise. "Can you shift back now?" Analise chuckled, picking up one of his massive paws and giving the soft pads a playful squeeze. He let out another whine, and then Finlay shifted back into his human form, but there was a dazed look in his eyes. "Ana…" he murmured, his voice full of longing. He pulled her into his arms, clinging to her like she was the only thing keeping him grounded. "I feel awful." That soft, pitiful tone hit Analise right in the heart.
