Serena and Randall were full of doubts, but they knew Gary wouldn't tell them anything, so they didn't stay long and left directly. Besides, Mary didn't need Serena to take care of her now.
As they walked out of the ward and reached the nurse's station, they heard many people whispering.
"That woman in the private ward, I heard she stabbed her husband with a knife, and he's still being rescued in the operating room. It's too brutal," a young nurse said, shuddering at the memory.
An older nurse glared at her and scolded, "Stop spreading rumors. You're here to work, not to gossip. Do you still want this job?"
The young nurse immediately fell silent, remembering the warning from her superiors, and dared not say more.
Randall guessed what had happened and felt a shiver down his spine. He had to admit, Mary was indeed ruthless.
