Chapter 16 "Ashely is my hero."

Avery P.O.V. After what happened in the hallway by my lockers, where Jayson and Eli were teasing and picking on Ashely and Natalie, that was what happened before the first bell rang. I walked in with Ashely. She had a faraway look on her face. She was probably still upset with Jayson Woods for how an ass he is. But I knew my friend had a big crush on him. Oh, I could bounce on that one there. I thought with a giggle under my breath. I saw Ashely turn her head at me. "Don't think about it, Ave," She said, staring at me thoughtfully. I put my hands up. "Hey, I didn't say anything, Ash," I told her with an innocent expression on my face. But really, I was laughing inside. She gave me a look saying shut up. So, I did. I changed the subject. "So, Ash?" I asked her. "Yeah," she said back at me. She wasn't looking at me now. But she started walking into the back of the classroom. I followed her.
