"Not only do we know each other, but we're pretty close," Steven casually replied.
As he spoke, he pouted. He was clearly upset that Reena didn't seem to trust him. Was he really that unpopular?
He had always been friendly with everyone. For instance, he got along well with Ryan Mckay, the son of the Southbank Justice Department's minister.
Seeing Steven take his phone out to call for help, Reena hesitantly decided to believe him. But then, Steven scratched his head awkwardly.
"Wait, I don't have his number. Hold on, let me ask someone for my friend's number."
Reena was speechless.
Meanwhile, Ryan lay in a dimly lit wrecked room. His eyes were blank as if he had lost his mind.
No one could really blame him. Anyone who went through what he did would likely have a mental breakdown.
In his hazy memory, all he could recall were strong men… Really big men… It felt like he was a delicate flower, drowning in a sea of muscles. He was nearly crushed—or rather, stuffed like a cream puff.
