My Father Is Cruel

(Anna) The men had brought their lifeboat closer to the ship and were now climbing onboard. Once Oliver had been taken to safety, I took cover behind a thick pole and extracted my shuriken knives and ninja stars first and stood erect. I left them so they could live but it seemed like these men were too eager to die. I will give them exactly what they desired for they dared open fire when a child was standing with me. The rage engulfed me as I poked my head and saw two of the burly ones creeping into my direction with their backs low and claws out. Their clothes were drenched. I twirled the knife in my hand and angled it, aiming for the chest of the left one. It sailed through the air and hit him exactly where I had planned. He crumpled to the ground in a heap within a second. His shocked companion glanced here and there and took out his gun, seeing I was doing long range attack. “Come out, you bitch and I will show you. How dare you blow up our ship,” he growled in an empty threat. This time I threw two ninja stars aiming for both his hands. They landed on the targets and his gun clattered on the ship’s deck. “Ugggh!” He cried out as I emerged from behind the pole with my gun in my hand and a sinister smile on my face. I had planned to end this early and return to my room. Have a bubble bath and some wine. But this day kept getting weirder and weirder and now it was just pissing me off. “You!” He seethed, clenching his teeth as he extracted the steely sharp stars from his hand. “Me!” I made an innocent face as if I was a Barbie doll, not a ruthless assassin. He tried to reach for his gun but I fired, hitting his hand. Behind him, more of his men were climbing on the deck. “I would have loved to play but party time is over,” I cocked my head at him as his eyes enlarged in fear but he tried to lunge at me. I fired and ended his miserable life, he fell from mid air. His companions met the same fate and soon all of their bodies were piled up which I tossed in the sea one by one. Completing my mission and leaving no one behind. I wiped my bloody hands on my clothes. The sight of it no longer affected me, it was the colour of my hair and I had fully personified it. It was time to go seek out Oliver and talk to the Captain, to see if they could leave me on the nearest port. I headed for the control room and soon found Oliver with his guards. He seemed frightened and rushed to me. Clinging to my leg. I found his actions quite endearing. “Are you okay? Who were those bad men?” He asked in a frightened voice. “Enemy who just wanted to stir trouble. But they are gone and no one will hurt you,” I assured him. “Lady, whoever you are, you need to leave the ship. If our king found out that you endangered his child’s life. He would be rather furious,” one of the guards told me in a disturbed voice. “Take me with you. My father is a cruel man. He beats me daily, doesn't care about me and doesn't even love me. I would rather be with you and once I grow up, you can be my Luna,” Oliver made the cutest saddest face I had ever seen and my cold heart instantly thawed. “What? Does he really beat you?” I asked, perplexed. Unable to digest the fact that someone could beat such an adorable little kid. What kind of sicko was his father? Seemed like I had to beat his ass to put some sense into him to not lay a hand on a child. He raised his small arms, wanting to be held so I bent down and gathered him up in mine. With ease he clung to me, wrapping his arms around my neck and placing his head on my shoulder. “I am not going to leave you, Ollie. Not unless I assure you are safe,” I assured him, placing a small kiss on his head. (Oliver’s POV) I had never known my mother. My father said she left us as soon as I was born to go be with her destined mate. She didn't care for us, for me and abandoned me right after my birth. I had always been quick to do everything in life. Early to walk and talk, early to study. At the age of four, I could read and write perfectly like a normal adult. My IQ was tested and was known to be above 160. My father began to take me along his business trips so I could gather business understanding at an early age. But his obsession with work and no play irritated and annoyed me. To retaliate I decided to run away and found this gorgeous lady who made me feel safe. Her smile was the prettiest thing I had seen while her embrace soothed my heart. I wished to remain by her side and make her my Luna one day. I made up lies about my father so she would feel pity for me and would decide to stay instead of leaving. With the way she was dressed, she seemed like a strong female character from the video games I loved playing. I could see her playing and laughing with me. And then she called me ‘Ollie’. Even my father had never given me such a name, always calling me Little Ludwig. She made me feel special. “I love how you called me Ollie. What's your name? Sweet lady?” I asked. She warmly smiled at me, her eyes which were the same colour as mine lit up with affection. “Anna, you can call me An, little one.” She rumpled my hair playfully and I nodded. Even her name was beautiful just like her. While we were talking we heard the whirring of helicopter blades outside and I knew trouble had arrived. My father was here and he was going to be mad. The lady carried me outside as my little heart thumped in my chest. I clutched the front of her jacket in a desperate attempt to feel safe. Outside I saw my father climb out of his helicopter, his black hair were all ruffled due to the helicopter’s fan but his intense eyes were raging and they were focused on me as he bellowed. “Young man, you have a lot of explaining to do.” I quickly turned my face to Anna and buried it in her soothing warm chest. I could sense she could save me from his wrath.
