Wilfred stared at her, his cool gaze was all concentrated.
Utterly restrained agony.
Everything he had was earned by him every bit of the way, every step he took was blood-soaked.
He was cold and ungrateful, his eyes only had interest, no hint of emotion because he had never experienced sunshine.
Perhaps he had seen the sunshine, but it was discarded with contempt.
He now faltered for a bit of that light to return.
As Sarah met his gaze, her calm heart wavered at the sight of his plea.
It slightly tugged at her heart.
Sarah knew that was the sentiment of a fool.
If it were her, she would have forgiven him.
Even if he had hurt her so much, she still liked him to the point of a moth flying towards a flame.
However, Sarah wasn't that fool.
She forcefully shakes off Wilfred's hand, utterly aloof, and she spits out a sentence, "Wilfred, the only Sarah who was compassionate about your suffering is already dead."
