Chapter 1
Late autumn.
Dark clouds hung at the sky as an eminent storm was brewing.
Driving at 120 miles, a lone car was speeding wildly on the road. The fallen leaves on the road scattered about as it hits the window from time to time, like the blade of knives heading towards them.
It was shocking to say the least.
"Nathan, slow down, it's dangerous!"
Xyla Lan was sitting on the front passenger seat, her body twisting and shrinking down and she held on the seat belt tightly.
"Dangerous? Then die! Even if you die, you won’t be able to bring Berry back!"
Nathan Hua's eyes were bloodthirsty, full of resentment.
Although they have been together for a long time and was familiar with him, he had become completely estrange.
Xyla looks at Nathan, a small fear in her cold heart.
"Nathan why won’t you believe me? Why would I kill Berry? "
Nathan's eyes were cold as his eyes shrank.
"You didn't want to be a stepmother, you don't want to share your property with my children in the future! Xyla, you're really distant. Are you going to marry into my Chinese family? Do you plan to escape from me in the future and disappear? "
Listening to the voice of this deranged man, Xyla couldn't see any warmth in his eyes.
In a moment.
He had no trust in her, only hatred.
Berry was a daughter adopted by Nathan when he went to visit the Sichuan earthquake four years ago.
At that time, Nathan was walking among the victims. The little girl, who was unfortunately orphaned, hugged him by the leg and called for her father. He held up her small face. When they met for the first time, they felt something close to destiny, like they were meant to be father and daughter.
Berry's smile was so simple and beautiful that it can melt people's hearts.
How could I hurt her?
"I've been treating Berry as my own daughter for so long. Don't you know that?" Xyla was blue as she endured the car’s speed desperately crying to explain.
Nathan sneered coldly, "if I had known you were as poisonous as a snake and scorpion, I wouldn’t have brought you home and let you have a chance to kill my daughter!"
His neck was red with anger and irritation. Ironically, he wore a bow tie of a bridegroom's dress around his neck.
Yes, how ironic.
Today was his and her wedding day.
After years of perfect relationship, they carefully planned their wedding together and finally waited until this day.
But heaven and hell were so close.
Just one step and she fell down from grace.
Her heart was aching.
"Nathan…"
The violent sound of braking interrupted Xyla's thoughts as it drifted away.
She was launched forward all of a sudden. There was a loud bang as she violently hit her forehead and felt dizzy.
A smell of blood spread on her face, a murky red dripping down on snow-white wedding dress, but this didn’t matter to her.
She was more concerned of his indifference towards her which hurt her the most.
Nathan parked his car in a cemetery on the outskirts of the city.
This was where Berry was sleeping alone
Thinking of this, Xyla’s heart became more melancholic as she tried remembering her. Her habits, her actions and her fears, Perhaps due to the fact that she was an orphan, Berry was afraid of the dark, she had always like to sleep while holding someone’s hand. Xyla didn’t know if in this cold and humid cemetery, can she sleep?
"Berry..." Xyla calling out her name unconsciously.
"You don't deserve to say her name!"
Nathan shouted as veins started protruding from his head. He turned around violently grabbed her face. He held her beside him as he looked at her with his cold eyes.
Xyla endured the pain while letting out as small groan. Nathan’s eyes portrayed his intent honestly as if everyone can see what he means.
His eyes, which he loved most, disgusted him at the moment. He pressed his hands harder and squeezed her neck along her smooth cheek.
"Let go of me, Nathan,! Nathan, let me go."
She struggled under him, but Nathan held her firmly. He tore at her clothes revealing her warm body to the rain, her pearly white neck, clear clavicle that was constantly trembling, two soft and bountiful chest that spilled out of her low cut wedding dress. She moaned causing irritation to Nathan.
His body felt hot like it was ignited. Nathan forcefully turned her over and completely pressed her under his body and began to tear the rest of her dress madly.
This was the wedding dress he made for her.
One year ahead of schedule, they invited famous French designers to make it to order. They spent millions to make her smile and give her an unforgettable wedding.
At the moment, it was all in his hands.
"Nathan, let me go! You're crazy. This is a cemetery!" she shouted uselessly.
By then there was a sharp pain coming from her lower body. He thrust forward regardless of everything and rushed into her body in anger. And soon, tears fell on her four meter long veil.
Like the withered feathers of an angel's wings when they fall.
