Chapter 4

After applying eyeliner some eye shadow to blend in and my dark red matte lipstick I was done. Not much but enough to highlight my ladylike features. I still had ten minute remaining so I just took my purse walked down to the kitchen and took a granola bar. This time I had money so I decided that I would take a cab instead of walking in heels to the bus stop. Stopping a taxi I entered inside and flashed the driver a smile. "To the Jvanv please" I said and let him do the rest. Mean while I prayed that they didn't make a mistake because I would blow if I went there and found out that it wasnt me that they hired after they sent me an email that was not supposed to come to me. "Thank you miss I hope that I can be a your service again soon" he said removing his hat in a salute manner "You are welcome. I hope to see you again too" I said then tipped him along with a smile. I walked inside the building again this time the security guy smiled at me and even opened the door for me. I gave him a nod and a smile then walked in. The same secretary that gave me the stinky eye looked at me weirdly. Maybe my cover was going away but I didn't care now or maybe they hired me because they found who was hiding behind the puffy bun. I took the elevator I still had my attitude on and it was going to fall on whoever was going to give me one. I took off my sunglasses when I reached at the receptionist who gave me a smile. "Hello. I will be showing you where you will be working your office and basically the whole building " she said jumping a little. Her booming energy made me like her. Her politeness made her look like a child and her face made her look easy and hard at the same time. I liked her she was nice enough. Or maybe it was a facade. "Okay then" I said putting my glasses inside my bag and following her. We passed Mr Ivanov's office and I thanked the heavens that I was not going to be working near him. Wrong I thought wrong because after some minutes when I entered my office I noticed that our offices were joined and that we could see each other in a window that I was forbidden to close. "Okay he will be here in like now! " she said as we heard the elevator door open and there he was in that tailored suit that fitted him. "Get him a black coffee with two sugar cubes nothing else to add in the coffee or else you will be fired trust me many have gone because of that" she whispered and immediately went leaving me there standing still trying to comprehend what she told me. "Are you lost or something? " Mr Ivanov asked me after a good two minutes stare. I wasn't the one to back down and by now I bet he knew it and still he still poked my guts. "No I was just going to get your coffee" I said and then turned around going to find the cafeteria. Yeah I was going to get lost. "Hey the cafeteria is on the fifteenth floor take your right" Lena said when she saw me trying to look around. Before I could thank her the elevator door closed making me kiss the air between my teeth. Motherfucker. I successfully got to the cafeteria got the coffee and got back up without being lost. I walked past Lena and she flashed me a very big smile and thumbs up while mouthing good luck. Was he that bad I guess I was about to find out. I entered his office with his coffee mug in my hand and a notepad in my other hand. He didn't even look up so I just kept the coffee on the table and stood there waiting for him to look up. If he was going to continue like that then we were going to be quiet for a long time. He still didn't look up and in the heels I was wearing standing up for long was not doing me any good so I took a sit. That was when he looked up. He raised one eyebrow looking at me and I held his stare. "Who told you to take a sit? " he asked in his usual flat tone. Did he think that he could intimidate me easily? I chuckled silently. "I brought your coffee you were not talking and I though that walking out without you telling me to go would be offensive so I just sat here and waited for your permission to go" I said with a smile at the end. He didn't crack one of his instead he looked at me with a bored expression. I gotta say his green eyes made him look hot. "You may leave" he said then went back to typing. I shrugged my shoulders if he was not going to tell me to do anything then I would go he was the one who dismissed me anyway and he was the boss so if he had any information for me he would have said it so I just left. Instead of going all the way behind his office I just used a door that was in his office immediately getting in my office. My office was not that big but it was more than enough for me. The theme colour was brown and white which was perfect from my point of view. I sat on the chair then opened the laptop that laid there untouched. No password. Next to it a neat and well dusted computer and keyboard occupied the space of the desk and a few books along with files.
