Alana’s POV.
"So, have you finally come to your senses?" Daniel asked with a sly smirk on his face. He ran his fingers through his hair and leaned against the tree very smoothly. He had that proud look on his face as if he believed the world was at his feet, but that wouldn't be the case.
"Excuse me?" I scoffed, raising a brow at him. By now, he should have known to choose his words more carefully.
"You're calling me away from everyone, clearly you have a reason," Daniel said in a suggestive tone, and I had to hold back a laugh because I finally understood what he meant. The smirk on his lips, the confidence in his stand and the way he kept running his fingers through his hair.
"And what senses would those be?" I watched as confusion washed over him, but he didn't back down. Even when I’ve given him the chance to redeem himself and not embarrass himself.
