Alana’s point of view.
On Wednesday morning, I found myself, along with Mia and my team, heading to Markos' office. A considerable amount of time had passed since Monday when the meeting was scheduled for me to make a decision.
Since receiving the disheartening news on Monday, I haven't shared it with many people. I was still trying to figure out how to handle the situation. It was far from ideal. As I delved deeper into the production of "Hearts Entwined," I began to resent it. The book was incredible, but the demands of making it into a movie were starting to make me question my role as the producer. We, especially I, had made a mistake by giving Naomi decision-making authority. I had simply wanted a smooth transition, but she was making it rough. Soon, I'd have to sit down with her and attempt to salvage the movie before we dug ourselves into a hole. I couldn't bear the thought of my first movie being a flop. I wouldn't let that happen.
