Clark snapped back to reality and followed Jenna to push the cake cart.
Yet, his mind lingered on the scene from earlier in the study, and he endlessly replayed Judy's distressed and anguished expression.
Meanwhile, Judy wasn't interested in joining the festivities. So, she watched from a corner as Jenna and Clark brought the cake cart to celebrate Matthew's birthday.
Then, she grabbed a bottle of wine and left.
She didn't usually drink, but today, she felt like it.
The thought of her mother's memorial plaque being locked away in such a narrow space by Matthew filled her with fury.
Clearly, it wasn't a proper shrine for the deceased. The bright red chains and the walls covered in charms weren't tributes at all, they were symbols of suppression!
Was her mother really killed in a car accident?
Judy suddenly had her doubts about it.
