"Fine. Then let me tell you why I'm treating you this way."
Judy threw the washcloth onto the edge of the sink. She shook off Clark's grip on her and glared at him fiercely.
"To you, anything and anyone can be objectified. To you, I'm just an object that can be freely traded.
"You did that before, and you still do that now. You're just a prideful person, and anyone beneath you is considered an object."
Judy's gaze was cold. There was no anger, just an emotionless calm. She was so emotionless that it made Clark anxious.
"We're not the same kind of people. Are you happy with my answer?"
Clark was stunned. He didn't know what to say. Judy glanced at him icily and walked away.
As she did so, she asked, "Do you know why I returned? If it weren't for Mabel, I wouldn't have stayed here.
"I don't hope for you to do anything for me. I just hope we can keep some distance and not interfere with each other's lives."
